Eligible Criteria :

  • Educational Qualification : 
  • For Semi Skilled Workman : Matriculation + National Trade Certificate (NTC)/National Apprentice Certificate (NAC) issued by National Council of Vocational Training (NCVT).
  • For Labour  : Matriculation

Nationality : Indian

Age Limit : 18 to 32 years (Minimum Age 18 years for all categories) as on the closing date of online applications.

Application Fee:The candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs.50/- Rupees Fifty only) [excepting SC/ST/ Female/Physically Handicapped candidates who are exempted from payment of fee] either by payment gateway integrated in the website by using credit card, debit card or net banking or by depositing the money in any branch of SBI by cash (through challan downloaded from this website).  CHALLAN MODE: Candidates may pay by cash in any branch of SBI through the SBI challan which can be generated and downloaded from the website. Applicants who pay by cash (Challan Mode) should take a printout of the system generated challan slip during PART-II of the registration and deposit the fee at an SBI branch counter before the closing date of application. After the candidate remits the cash at SBI branch, she/he has to enter the transaction reference number by logging into ‘APPLICANT LOGIN’ and upload the stamped challan displaying the transaction number. Please note that the option to upload the challan details will be available only 2 hours after downloading of the challan. Only after this process is completed, registration process of such candidates who opt to pay by Challan Mode will be considered successfully completed. SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen (eligible for reservation#) / Physically Handicapped /Women/Ex-Trade Apprentice of Ordnance Factories only are exempted from payment of fee.

MEDIUM OF EXAMINATION: The examination will be trilingual, i.e., Hindi, English and regional language of the State where the factory against which the candidate has applied is located. With reference to Ordnance Factories and their respective locations, this translates to English, Hindi & any one regional language among the following- Bengali/ Marathi/Oriya/Tamil/Telugu. It may be noted that candidates can appear only for that regional language of the state where the factory concerned is located and will have to appear for examination in that State/Centre only.

CENTRE OF EXAMINATION:  Centre will be allotted with respect to location of the Ordnance Factory applied by the candidate in one of the 12 centres viz. Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Coimbatore, Delhi, Hyderabad, Jabalpur, Kolkata, Kanpur, Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune and Trichy. Additional centres like Bhopal, Lucknow and Dehradun may be included

Selection Method: Selection process shall comprise of a 2 stage process:

  • Written examination of 100 marks, objective type and OMR based
  • Trade Test (Practical) at respective factory along with document verification

Age Limit : Between 14 to 22 years as on as on 10.02.2017

Application Fee: There is no fee for any candidate.

MEDIUM OF EXAMINATION: 3 Languages formula: candidate can choose English or Hindi or language of the state in which ordnance factory chosen by the candidate is located (Bengali/ Marathi/ Oriya/ Tamil/ Telugu). 8.

CENTRE OF EXAMINATION: Centre will be allotted w.r.t. location of the ordnance factory and medium of examination chosen by the candidate in one of the 12 centres viz. Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Coimbatore, Delhi, Hyderabad, Jabalpur Kolkata, Kanpur, Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune and Trichy.

SCHEME OF EXAMINATION: The written examination will be as follows:

For Non-ITI Candidates: Written Test (One Paper of 03 hours duration, total questions 150) consisting of questions on English, General Knowledge, Mathematics and Aptitude/Reasoning, as per Madhyamik ( Class: X th Standard or equivalent)

For ITI Candidates: Written Test (one paper consisting of 02 parts of 03 hours duration, total questions 150) PART – A: Questions on English, General Knowledge, Mathematics and Aptitude/Reasoning approx. 40% out of total number of questions. PART – B: Questions on the group of subject trades – approx. 60% out of total number of questions. Examination will be conducted on ‘Multiple Choice Objective Type Test’ on OMR sheet. There will be no negative marking.
